De meest bekende Sours zijn de Belgische bierstijlen Lambiek en Geuze. Een Geuze is een mix van jonge en oude Lambiek. Om de naam Lambiek of Geuze te mogen dragen moet het bier gebrouwen (Lambiek) en gestoken (Geuze) zijn in de Belgische streek de Zennevallei. Vanwege de steeds stijgende populariteit voegen steeds meer brouwers een zure variant toe aan hun assortiment.
